How to grow royal palm

How to grow royal palm

1. Breeding environment

1. Soil: Royal palm has a strong adaptability to soil, but it is best to use loose, well-drained soil containing humus.

2. Watering: No need to water too much, as long as the soil is slightly moist. Water it about twice a day in summer. The air is relatively dry in spring and autumn, so spray it with water appropriately to increase the humidity of the air, which can be more conducive to its growth. In winter, the temperature is lower, so control the amount of watering. If you water too much, the lower leaves will rot, black spot disease will continue to spread, and may cause death.

3. Light: It can receive appropriate light, but cannot be exposed to strong direct sunlight. If exposed to the sun, its leaves will become dull or even burnt. Shade measures should be taken in summer. It can receive appropriate light in spring and winter.

2. Breeding Methods

Seed propagation: It is best to collect seeds in November each year. Spring and summer are the best time for sowing. After collecting the seeds, wash them with water and then sow them in the sand bed. Do not sow it directly in the nursery, but sow it first in the sand bed and then transplant it after it germinates. Make sure the soil is slightly moist and provide it with a growing environment of 22-28℃. It will generally germinate about 1-3 months after sowing.
