How to raise blue snowflakes in winter

How to raise blue snowflakes in winter

1. Temperature

Anyone who has grown this kind of flower should know that its resistance to cold is very weak. Generally, it cannot survive below zero degrees, so we need to move it indoors in winter and find ways to keep the room temperature between five and ten degrees.

Of course, some people don’t plant it in a pot, but directly in the ground. If we move it to a pot, it can be said that there is still a certain risk in doing this in winter, because its roots are particularly developed, so it is easy to be damaged. So we can cut off all its leaves, leaving only the branches, and then make a rack and put a bag on it. You don't have to feel sorry for it at this time, because only the new branches will have flowers. In addition, we can also build a smaller shed so that it can safely spend the winter.

2. Soil

If we can ensure that there are no problems with its roots and keep it indoors, then remember to provide it with fertile soil that is acidic. If you don’t know which ones to use, you can use some leaf mold or coarse sand.

3. Lighting

It likes sunlight, so if you keep it indoors and ensure the temperature is high, you can put it in a sunny place so that it can survive the winter safely.

4. Watering

We can't provide it with too much water in winter. Generally speaking, it is enough to keep the pot moist.

5. Fertilization

Normally it needs fertilizer, and all the main elements are needed, but no fertilizer is needed in winter.
