In order to achieve high yield of peanuts, it is very important to do a good job of fertilization. By combining organic and inorganic fertilizers , balanced fertilization and topdressing, stable and high yields of peanuts can be effectively achieved. So what fertilizer should be used to increase the yield of peanuts? Let’s learn more about it below. 1. Base fertilizer Basal fertilizer is the fertilizer mixed into the soil during land preparation. You can choose to apply nitrogen fertilizer, phosphorus fertilizer and organic fertilizer in combination. Generally, 2,000 kg of well-rotted high-quality farm and livestock manure, 15-20 kg of diammonium phosphate, or 40-50 kg of superphosphate, 5-7.5 kg of potassium chloride, and 4-5 kg of urea are applied per mu. It is best to apply phosphate fertilizer after mixing it with organic fertilizer at a ratio of 0.5%-1%, which will help improve fertilizer efficiency. 2. Topdressing (1) Seedling fertilizer: It should be applied before the beginning of flowering. Topdressing should mainly be nitrogen fertilizer, and phosphorus and potassium fertilizers should be applied in combination. Apply 8-10 kg of nitrogen fertilizer or 30-40 kg of compound fertilizer per mu of land. You can choose to broadcast the fertilizer or apply it in furrows. (2) Flower needle fertilizer: The demand for fertilizer during this period is also relatively sensitive, especially for sandy soil with poor water and fertilizer retention capacity, and topdressing should be applied in time. It can be combined with tillage and soil cultivation or integrated water and fertilizer operations, and 5-10 kg of urea or 4-6 kg of nitrogen-potassium (20-0-20 or 25-0-5) compound water-soluble fertilizer can be applied per mu. (3) Pod-setting fertilizer: At the beginning of pod setting, apply 10-15 kg of compound fertilizer mainly composed of phosphorus and calcium per mu to the peanut plants. 3. Foliar topdressing After the flowering and needle-dropping period, use 1% urea aqueous solution and 0.5% potassium dihydrogen phosphate aqueous solution for foliar topdressing 2-3 times. Sandy or calcareous iron-deficient soil can be sprayed with 0.2% ferrous sulfate solution, 20-25 kg per mu each time, with an interval of 5-7 days between each application. 4. Notes (1) Avoid direct contact of fertilizer with seeds or roots to prevent seed or root burn. (2) The depth of fertilization should be appropriate. Solid fertilizers should be applied several centimeters below the soil surface, and liquid fertilizers should be sprayed evenly. (3) Pay attention to weather conditions and avoid applying fertilizer before or after heavy rainfall to prevent nutrient loss. (4) Irrigate at the right time and water appropriately after fertilizing to help nutrients dissolve and be absorbed. In general, the fertilization management of peanut planting needs to follow the principles of balance, staging, combining organic and inorganic, and flexibly apply various fertilization techniques. When applying fertilizer, the correct time and method should be followed to maximize the effect of fertilization.
