How to water marigolds

How to water marigolds

1. Watering during transplanting

After determining the transplanting time, you can cut off water 7 days in advance. This is also to prevent it from growing too tall, and at the same time it is more conducive to the success of transplanting and improves the quality of the flowers. This is very important. If friends want to grow better quality marigolds, they must abide by this. You can water normally about 3 days after transplanting.

2. Watering during high temperatures

The high temperature period usually refers to the hot summer. Most plants need a lot of water to maintain in the summer because when the temperature is high, water loss is also more serious. However, during high temperatures, it is best to keep the soil relatively dry. If there is too much water, the plant will easily grow too tall, which will not only affect the plant shape, but also delay the flowering period or cause poor quality of the flowers. Therefore, watering must be strictly controlled at this time.

3. Watering during other periods

The principle of watering is to alternate between dry and wet, so when watering daily, you can wait until the surface of the soil is completely dry before watering. This plant is both water-loving and drought-resistant, so it is okay to water it after the surface of the soil has dried out. But loving water does not mean that water can accumulate when watering, or that the flower soil can remain moist for a long time. The flower soil used must have good water permeability and air permeability. This is beneficial to the health of plants and simplifies the difficulty of plant cultivation.
