How to judge whether it is time to water cyclamen

How to judge whether it is time to water cyclamen

If cyclamen is watered too much, you must pay attention to treatment, otherwise the roots will easily rot. First, you should stop watering to allow the water to drain as quickly as possible, then move the cyclamen to a well-ventilated place, and loosen the soil frequently with a shovel. This can accelerate the evaporation of water and help it recover. If the water accumulation is serious, it is recommended to remove the pot and replace the soil to avoid root rot.

Cyclamen watering time

Cyclamen is not tolerant to waterlogging. If you want to judge whether cyclamen should be watered, you need to observe the color of the soil surface. If you find that the soil surface color is darker, it means that the water content in the soil is higher. At this time, you cannot water the cyclamen. If the soil surface is white, it means that the water content is lower and it needs to be watered. When cyclamen blooms in spring, it needs more water. You can water it once every 2-3 days. In summer, the water dissipates quickly, so you should replenish water every day. In autumn, you don’t need too much water. Generally, you only need to water it once every 5 days. Watering should be done in time when the soil is dry, and you must water it thoroughly.

How to water cyclamen

When watering cyclamen, the water needs to flow down the wall of the flowerpot and out of the drainage holes at the bottom of the flowerpot to completely soak the soil and maintain the healthy growth of the cyclamen. It is also best to let the tap water stand for 2-3 days before using it to prevent the chlorine in the tap water from affecting the growth of the cyclamen.
