The leaves of lucky bamboo turn yellow after growing it? Just spray some water and add some ingredients, and the leaves will immediately turn green!

Why do lucky bamboo leaves turn yellow?

1. No roots. The lucky bamboo you just bought has no roots and the plant does not have enough nutrients, so it will have yellow leaves.

2. Iron deficiency. Due to the lack of iron, the leaves of lucky bamboo will turn yellow, usually appearing as tender yellow.

3. Dry. Lucky bamboo likes a humid and warm environment. If the air is too dry, it will cause yellow leaves and dry tips.

4. Light. Too strong sunlight will cause the leaves of lucky bamboo to turn yellow and dry up; if there is no light for a long time, the new leaves of lucky bamboo will become tender yellow and dull.

5. Failure to change water in time. Failure to change the water for hydroponic lucky bamboo for a long time will also cause yellow leaves.

What should I do if the leaves of lucky bamboo turn yellow?

Hydroponics:

1. Clean and remove the yellow leaves first, otherwise they will occupy the nutrients of other leaves.

2. Prune the roots. If the roots are damaged or rotten, cut off the rotten roots first and then place them in water. Otherwise, they will continue to infect other roots and cause yellow leaves.

3. When rooting, you can put an aspirin tablet in the water. Change the water in the bottle every 3 days. It is best to use purified water. Tap water should be air-dried for a day before use to remove the chlorine in it. It will take 15 to 20 days for the plant to take root.

3. Add nutrient solution. If lucky bamboo is iron deficient, you can add ferrous sulfate solution to the water to supplement the iron element. Add it every time you change the water. Ferrous sulfate is prepared with water in a ratio of 1:1000.

4. You can use a watering can to spray some water on the leaves to maintain humidity, or you can spray water in the air around it.

5. Lucky bamboo is usually placed indoors. It cannot be exposed to direct sunlight, nor can it be placed in a dark place. It can be placed in a place with bright scattered light indoors, such as the living room.

6. If you use tap water directly to grow lucky bamboo, the water quality will easily become corrupt. It is best to dry the tap water for a day before using it. It is recommended to use purified water or well water.

When changing the water, you don’t have to take out the entire lucky bamboo. Just tilt the bottle and pour out the water, and add water to 1/2 or 2/3 of the bottle.

Soil culture:

1. The growth rate of lucky bamboo grown in soil is relatively slow, and the appearance of yellow leaves is generally due to insufficient nutrition in the potting soil.

2. At this time, we can change the pot of the lucky bamboo to a larger one and prepare new soil.

① Prepare a flower pot with drainage holes that is larger than the previous one.

②Lucky bamboo likes a humid environment, so we can prepare the potting soil with a 1:1 ratio of garden soil and river sand to ensure water permeability and air permeability.

③ Clean the soil around the roots of the lucky bamboo in the original pot, try to avoid damaging the root system, then separate them and plant them in new pots.

④After planting, water it thoroughly to complete the repotting.

3. Lucky bamboo grown in soil is more afraid of dryness. Generally, it should be watered once every three days or so. The leaves should also be sprayed with water from a spray bottle frequently to maintain moisture. The number of watering should be reduced in winter.

4. If you want lucky bamboo to grow vigorously, you can break some egg shells and put them in the potting soil.

How to make lucky bamboo grow faster?

1. The most suitable growth temperature for lucky bamboo is around 20℃. It needs to be protected from the sun in summer and from freezing in winter.

2. Do not place lucky bamboo next to a TV, air conditioner or electric fan, otherwise the stem of the lucky bamboo will become pointed and the leaves will turn yellow. Can be placed next to the sofa.

3. Change the water every 2 to 3 weeks. It is best to use purified water. Adding a tablet of metronidazole will prevent the water from becoming smelly.

4. Add two drops of nutrient solution into the bottle every month, and the lucky bamboo will grow fast and green.

5. The lucky bamboo you just bought has no roots, so you need to cut it at 45 degrees at the bottom to increase the contact area so that it can grow roots faster.
