How to plant morning glory seeds

How to plant morning glory seeds

1. Sowing time

There are two time options for planting morning glory seeds: one is in June and July in spring, and the other is around October and November in autumn. If you harvest it yourself, you need to wait until the fruits are ripe before harvesting. Place the fruit in a cool place to dry, and then take out the seeds after the fruit cracks.

2. Sowing Method

1. Seed selection: Only use high-quality seeds before sowing, so that the morning glory seeds will germinate earlier. Filter out the drier seeds and try to use fuller seeds.

2. Initiate seeding: Its seeds have a very hard shell, so they must be cut with tools before sowing. You can also prepare some clean water, put the seeds in it for 24 hours, and then take them out before sowing.

3. Container: Find a clean flower pot and put some sterilized soil in it. Morning glory is a plant with good growth ability, so it is more suitable to use more fertile soil.

4. Sowing: Sow the morning glory seeds on the ground, and then cover it with 2 cm of soil. The soil should not be too thin. After sowing, if the maintenance conditions are suitable, seedlings will emerge in a week.
