Four seasons maintenance methods of Dendrobium nobile

Four seasons maintenance methods of Dendrobium nobile

1. Spring

(1) Temperature: Let’s first talk about the most suitable temperature, which is within the range of 15 to 28 degrees. We can see that this plant likes warmth. Well, generally speaking, there is no need to pay special attention in spring, as the temperature generally meets the requirements.

(2) Light: This plant prefers a slightly shady environment. In spring, sixty percent shade is required.

(3) Water: In spring, just keep the soil slightly moist. We can judge by the state of the soil. If it feels moist, there is no need to add water.

2. Summer

(1) Temperature: In the hot summer, the temperature in some places is above 30 degrees, then the plants will appear very listless, so some cooling measures must be taken. For example, heat dissipation through ventilation, cooling through spray, etc.

(2) Light: It prefers shade, but the light in summer is relatively strong. Therefore, when the light is very strong, we have to take some shielding measures.

(3) Water: In summer, when the temperature is very high, you need to control the amount of water you use to keep the substrate slightly drier than the soil in spring.

3. Autumn

(1) Temperature: Same as spring.

(2) Light: Also maintain an appropriate shade level of about 60%.

(3) Moisture: Same as spring.

4. Winter

(1) Temperature: When the temperature drops below ten degrees, it needs to be kept warm. Commonly used methods include: using smoke for antifreeze, artificial warming, etc.

(2) Light: In winter, the lighting time can be slightly longer to ensure that it can safely survive the winter.

(3) Water: When the temperature is low, the growth rate is slow, or even no growth, so the amount of water is even less. Don't water too much at this time.
