How to grow baby's breath in summer

How to grow baby's breath in summer

1. Temperature

The temperature in summer should be controlled below 25 degrees. If the temperature rises to 30 degrees, the plant will grow in clusters, the branches will no longer grow, and its flowering will be affected. In severe cases, the flowering period will disappear directly. If placed in an air-conditioned room in summer, keep it away from the air outlet; if you want to use a small fan to cool it, be careful not to have too strong wind to avoid damaging the plants.

2. Moisture

Water supply must be strictly controlled in summer. It blooms from June to August every year, which happens to be the summer. During this period, you only need to keep the soil slightly moist. It should not be too wet or too dry.

3. Nutrients

Fertilization should also be reduced in summer because the flowering period coincides with summer. The best way to fertilize at this time is to spray fertilizer on the surface of the plants, but the concentration must be light. It is not advisable to apply nitrogen fertilizer in summer.

4. Pests and diseases

The temperature is high in summer, and it is cloudy and rainy. If you place plants indoors, you can choose to place them in ventilated places, which can effectively reduce the occurrence of diseases and pests. If you plant plants indoors, you should spray them with medicine after the rain to prevent rainwater from spreading diseases and pests, so as to take precautions in advance.

5. Transplanting

If you want to transplant in summer, you can choose rainy weather to do it, but you must plant it with soil, and the survival rate can reach 100%.

6. Sunlight

Although the summer sun is strong, it is necessary to keep the plant growing in the sun all day, but appropriate shade is needed at noon. If there is insufficient light, it will also grow poorly.
