When to repot gardenia

When to repot gardenia

1. Time

In fact, to be precise, it is February in spring and October in autumn every year. These two time points are the early stages of plant growth, and the temperatures in these two seasons are suitable. New buds emerge in February and begin to grow. After a hot summer, normal growth resumes in autumn. Therefore, if you want to repot this plant, you should do it within two months.

2. Notes

① If friends in the north want to repot in February, they should choose a time with higher temperatures, because although February in the north is also spring, the temperature is not high. If the weather continues to be cold, it can be postponed to early March.

②The reason why repotting is not recommended in summer is because the temperature is high in summer, and repotting is very unfavorable to the survival of plants. As long as the plants can survive the summer safely, don't have too high expectations, especially for novice maintenance workers.

③It is not recommended to repot after April. If you insist on repotting at this time, be sure to bring more original soil to minimize the damage to the plant.

④ Do not change the pot if it is cloudy or rainy. No matter when you change the pot, you should choose a clear and sunny environment. This is also very helpful for survival after repotting.

⑤If flower buds appear, remember not to change the pot.
