How to grow aloe vera more vigorously

How to grow aloe vera more vigorously

1. The pot soil should be properly configured

Potting soil is the basis for its growth, so we must choose the potting soil well. When growing it, we usually choose soil that has good fertilizer retention, water retention and drainage, and is breathable, and the pH value should also be moderate. It is often made with field mud, garden mud, etc. in a certain proportion.

2. Water appropriately

It likes moisture very much, so keep the soil moist as much as possible, but do not water it too much, otherwise the roots will easily rot. When watering, we always water gently along the edge of the flower pot, and never use force to prevent the soil from becoming compacted, which will affect the air permeability of the soil. If the soil in the pot becomes compacted accidentally, loosen the soil appropriately.

3. Appropriate fertilization

Nutrients are essential when it grows, so we usually need to provide it with appropriate fertilizer to meet its growth needs. Before application, it is best to dilute the flower fertilizer with clean water. The number of subsequent fertilizations depends on its growth conditions.

4. Change the pot at the right time

After 1 to 2 years of growth, it is necessary to repot it, and the best time is between April and May and September and October. When repotting, keep the soil intact. After changing it, you need to place it in a semi-shaded place for a while. After the seedlings have fully recovered, you can move it to a sunny place for maintenance.

5. Proper lighting

It likes light very much. Except for the time when it is just planted, it should not be exposed to too much sunlight. It can be exposed to the sun at any other time. The more it is exposed to the sun, the better it will grow.

6. Safe wintering

In the south, if you keep it indoors during the winter, it will generally be able to safely survive the winter. But it won't work in the north because it can only withstand temperatures above 5 degrees. Even if the temperature is not low, you should still take certain warming measures in winter. In addition, you should water less in winter, or you can not water it at all, but you should let it get more sunlight so that it can grow better.
