How to grow lily of the valley to make it bloom more

How to grow lily of the valley to make it bloom more

1. Flower soil

We need to give it suitable flower soil and don't be careless. Generally speaking, the fertility it needs should not be too strong. Medium or medium-high is feasible. As for the acid-base situation, it is better to have a little bit of acidity. In addition, the flower soil should have a certain degree of air permeability and water retention, so that it can grow better and bloom more flowers.

2. Moisture

Because it is difficult to grow when it lacks water, we need to water it frequently and maintain sufficient air humidity at ordinary times. It is best to provide it with soft water. Pay special attention to it during its growth period and be sure to replenish water in time, because this stage can directly affect its flowering. If there is insufficient water, it is likely to reduce its flowering amount.

3. Temperature

It is best to keep it at around 20℃ under normal circumstances. Even if this is not possible at normal times, it must be kept at 20℃ about three weeks before flowering, otherwise its flowering will be reduced.

4. Flower fertilizer

Before it blooms, it needs to be supplemented with certain flower fertilizers, because flowering will consume a lot of nutrients. If the nutrition cannot keep up at this time, then it will not be possible to bloom so many flowers. Therefore, we must water it with dilute fertilizer water before it blooms to supplement some nutrients to support its flowering.

5. Pruning

There is no doubt that pruning plays a big role. We need to cut off the top and those useless branches and leaves. In this way, the nutrients will be more concentrated, making it easier to bloom.

6. Repotting

It is best to repot it once a year so that it has room for its huge roots. In addition, repotting can also replace the flower soil that has been depleted of nutrients with new flower soil that is sufficient in nutrients, providing more nutrients to support it to bloom more flowers.
