How to transplant Hongyun Dangtou

How to transplant Hongyun Dangtou

1. Preparation

1. Soil:

1 part expanded clay, 2 parts perlite, 2 parts peat, or 1 part medium-coarse river sand, 2 parts vermiculite, and 2 parts sawdust can also be used.

2. Flower pots:

The size of the pot should be determined by the size of the plant you want to transplant, and its roots should be about 3 cm away from the edge of the pot.

3. Transplantation method:

Dig out the entire plant without damaging the roots. If the plant is infected with pathogens, then all the original soil on the plant must be cleaned up. If it is just a normal soil change and transplant, it is best to bring some of the original soil and put it into the new potting soil.

When transplanting, first put some small gravel at the bottom of the pot to increase the drainage of the soil, then put in 2 cm to 3 cm thick soil, then put the plant in the pot, and then fill it with the remaining soil, then gently lift the plant up with your hands, about 1 cm, let the roots of the plant stretch naturally, then gently flatten the soil with your hands, then soak the pot immediately, and finally place it in a shaded place.

2. When is transplantation necessary?

1. If the pests and diseases are serious, it is necessary to repot and resoil the plants;

2. Excessive watering, the soil drainage is very poor, causing the plants to grow in too wet soil for a long time, and transplanting is required at this time;

3. If you need to propagate it, you need to transplant it. You can refer to the propagation methods in the flower encyclopedia for details.

4. When the plants are repotted and soiled normally in spring.
