How to plant lotus in mud

How to plant lotus in mud

1. Seed treatment

First, place the seeds you are going to use for seedling cultivation in water above 10 degrees and cultivate them for about 10 days, and slowly leaf buds will grow out. We can observe it every day, and when it grows two leaf buds and a core, we can plant it in the mud.

2. Pot soil preparation

Because its leaf buds are still relatively small at this time, we don’t need to find a too large container to hold it. We can use a smaller one first, and then change to a container that is relatively suitable for it when it grows larger. You can use disposable tea cups or disposable eating bowls, but the container must have a light-shielding effect, because the roots of this plant are very sensitive to light and cannot be exposed to light. As for the soil, the requirements are not high. You can choose garden soil or even the soil in the community flower bed. It goes without saying that you must use fertile pond soil. If the soil is too fertile, it will burn the roots.

3. Entering the mud

First put the soil into the prepared container and pile it up to about three or four centimeters thick. Then we can use our fingers to press a small hole in the middle of the soil, place the roots of the plant in the small hole, and then bury the roots of the plant with the surrounding soil.

4. Moisture

After the plant is fixed, you can water it. Do not add too much water, just enough to overflow the mud layer by 2 to 3 cm. This method can keep warm and allow the plants to grow faster.

5. Lighting

After replenishing water, place it under the sun. After being exposed to the sun, it will quickly grow many roots and leaves.
