Care before flowering of Gloxinia

Care before flowering of Gloxinia

one. temperature:

This plant likes to grow in the range of 10 to 25 degrees, but in general, different seasons cause its temperature requirements to be different. From January to October, the temperature is best maintained at 18 to 25 degrees. Because its two flowering times are during this period, we need to control the temperature of the environment so that its leaves will develop more lush and green, and the flowers will grow larger and brighter.

two. illumination:

This is a semi-sun plant and generally needs to be shaded to prevent it from being exposed to too strong light. However, before it blooms, you can appropriately extend the shading time to achieve the purpose of prolonging the flowering period.

three. Moisture:

There will be flower buds before flowering. At this time, you must remember not to spray water on the flowers and leaves, because once they are exposed to water, they will easily rot.

Four. fertilizer:

This plant consumes a lot of fertilizer when it blooms, so we must supplement it. You can add a relatively dilute organic liquid fertilizer once a week from the time it expands its leaves to the time it blooms. After its flower buds are formed, phosphorus fertilizer needs to be added. Do not get the fertilizer on the leaves when applying fertilizer. After applying, wash the leaves with a basin of water. It is best to wipe dry the water after spraying to prevent the leaves from rotting.

five. prune:

When it blooms, some leaves around the flower buds will hinder it from blooming, so we can prune it before it blooms, and cut off the leaves that will hinder flowering according to the position of the flower buds.

In addition, you can also cut off the lower flower buds and concentrate them at the top of the plant to form a bouquet of flowers.
