Gloxinia flowering period and precautions

Gloxinia flowering period and precautions

1. Temperature:

Suitable temperatures can increase the vividness of flower colors when they bloom. So we must pay attention to the temperature during the flowering period. During its flowering period, we can maintain the surrounding temperature at 18 to 25 degrees. If the temperature is too high, pay attention to placing it in the house to cool it down. If the temperature is too low, pay attention to keeping it warm.

2. Lighting:

During its flowering period, if you want to prolong the flowering time, you can leave it in the shade for a longer time. If it is not necessary, you can expose it to more sunlight, which will allow it to bloom more flowers without damaging the leaves.

3. Moisture:

During the flowering period, a lot of water is needed, but because its flowers cannot touch water, you must be careful when replenishing it with water. It is best to use the immersion method. It is best to use a flowerpot with holes when you start growing it. During the flowering period, you can prepare a container larger than the flowerpot, fill it with water, and carefully place the flowerpot in the water. When you see a little moisture overflowing from the surface of the soil, take it out immediately to avoid damaging the leaves. During the flowering period, be careful not to let it be exposed to rain.

4. Fertilizer:

Flowering requires a lot of nutrients. At this time, in addition to the organic fertilizer that we added every week, we can add some bone meal during flowering.

5. Pruning:

During the flowering period, it is best to cut off the leaves that hinder the blooming of flowers.
