Growth habit

There are many of these plants in the southern part of my country, but they also grow in the north, which means that the environment they require is not harsh. However, like other plants, they may still prefer soil with a slightly lower pH. They will grow well even if you don't pay much attention to them. However, if you master certain methods, you can take better care of it, so you still need to pay attention to daily maintenance.

Maintenance methods

Soil selection

Although they do not have very high requirements for soil, they still need to be planted on flat ground or on the sunny side. Because this plant is very afraid of moisture, once it rains, coupled with poor drainage, it is likely to turn yellow leaves or die in large numbers. Because if there is too much water, the roots will easily rot. In addition, before planting, be sure to mix a certain amount of fertilizer into the soil, then level the entire soil surface, and then you can sow.

Watering

When the weather is relatively dry and it has not rained, you can water the plants appropriately. If the drought is severe, it can cause the entire area to die. But at the same time, when encountering periods of heavy rain, it is also necessary to drain the water in a timely manner. If a large amount of water cannot be drained, it will be very detrimental to the growth of the roots. The roots are likely to rot directly, and even lead to the death of the entire plant.

Disease prevention

The main disease this plant encounters is gray leaf spot, so you can probably guess that the symptom is the production of a gray, mold-like substance on it. If not treated, it will turn into dense black spots later, so if diseased branches are found, they should be pulled out and burned in time to avoid infecting other plants, and then specific pesticides should be used for prevention and control.
