How to grow succulents in spring to make them big and fat (what to pay attention to when growing succulents)

Succulent spring cultivation methods and precautions

There are many varieties of succulents, with plump leaves and high ornamental value. Now is spring, a good season for succulents to grow. At this time, as long as you take good care of them, succulents will easily grow.

But many flower lovers always complain that they can't grow succulents well, so what are the methods to pay attention to when growing succulents in spring? How can we grow our lovely succulents big and fat?

① Proper watering

Succulents are very drought-resistant and do not require much water. Their thick leaves can store a lot of water themselves, so we must not water them too much.

Although succulents have resumed their growth period in spring and have a great demand for water, do not water them too much . It is not too late to water them after the leaves at the bottom have wilted slightly.

If the air is dry, we can spray water around the plant to increase the air humidity, and the leaves will be more tender. Choose loose and breathable soil, and don't let the succulents accumulate water and rot .

②Sufficient light

Succulent plants are light-loving plants, but they cannot be exposed to strong sunlight . Except for the hot summer when they need proper shade, it is best to expose them to the sun at other times.

Especially in spring, the weather is warm and as long as the temperature is not higher than 30 degrees Celsius, it can be grown directly outdoors.

With sufficient light, succulents will grow vigorously, the colors will be brighter, the leaves will be thicker and the plants will be fuller .

③ Apply thin fertilizer frequently

Succulents grow vigorously in spring and need sufficient nutrients . Succulents grow vigorously in spring and autumn. You can add compound fertilizer containing balanced nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium once a month, which can not only make the succulents grow more vigorously, but also make the leaves more beautiful.

If the leaves of succulent plants are shriveled and look lifeless, you can add some liquid fertilizer regularly . This will make the leaves thicker and in better condition. Be careful not to apply raw fertilizer or concentrated fertilizer to avoid fertilizer damage to the plants.

④ Appropriate temperature difference

Different varieties of succulents have different temperature requirements. Most succulents are suitable for an environment of 15-25 degrees Celsius. As long as the temperature is within this range, if you want to grow well, you need to increase the temperature difference appropriately.

Generally, when the temperature difference between day and night is around 10 degrees Celsius, the plants can easily grow in good condition, with red leaves, and the leaves can be fat and big .
