Want to grow lily of the valley but don’t know how? Grow it in four steps, simple and beautiful!

1. How to plant seeds

1. Select seeds

Generally speaking, seed cultivation is chosen in autumn. In autumn, the nutrients in the seeds are accumulated the most, which is most conducive to the survival of the seeds. When choosing seeds, the seeds in ripe red berries are generally selected. Before planting, you need to select berry seeds that are fully mature.

2. Choose a pot

After selecting suitable seeds, you need to plant them. When planting, you need to pay attention to the soil must be relatively loose. At the same time, the planting pots should preferably be earth pots or plastic pots, which will be conducive to the growth of seeds.

3. Watering

First, fill the soil into the flowerpot, then water the soil thoroughly with clean water. Stop when you see water seeping out from the bottom of the flowerpot. Then evenly distribute the seeds on the soil surface, not close to the wall of the flowerpot. Pay attention to the spacing between the seeds. After adjustment, cover the seeds with a few centimeters of soil. When covering, be careful not to completely press down the seeds. After completion, do not water the soil with clean water anymore. Use a sprayer instead. The soil humidity in the flowerpot must not be too high.

4. Temperature

In terms of temperature, lily of the valley seeds need to be kept in a normal temperature environment of about 15°C, otherwise it will be difficult for them to germinate successfully. Common practices include covering them with plastic wrap. If it is summer, the soil needs to be cooled. In short, the seeds need to be kept at a constant temperature for growth.

2. How to maintain after planting

When you see the seeds have successfully germinated, if there is still plastic wrap covering the soil, you need to remove the plastic wrap to allow the seeds to breathe freely, and move the flower pot to a bright place. Keep a certain amount of sunlight every day, but do not let it be exposed to direct sunlight.

During this period, the amount of watering can be increased appropriately, but the soil should not be too moist. You can also add an appropriate amount of compound fertilizer, but the compound fertilizer needs to be placed in the lower part of the flowerpot. Be sure to avoid direct contact with the roots of the seedlings. Otherwise, the seeds are still in the growth stage and are very tender, and there is a high probability of seedling burn.
