Persimmon germination environment

Remove the pulp from the persimmon seeds (cores), wash them, place them in a cool and ventilated place to dry, and store them in a sealed container.

It is best to choose clay soil with a deep soil layer and good drainage for growing persimmons. Before planting, the soil needs to be deep plowed and weeded, and fertilized, mainly with decomposed compost or manure solution, and then the soil is loosened, so that the persimmon seedlings can develop better.

Persimmon germination process

Put persimmon seeds in a flowerpot in the same year, cover them with 2-3 cm of soil, place them in a cool place, and keep the soil moist. In the spring of the following year, when the temperature rises, they will germinate.

What we need to note is that persimmon seeds cannot be planted directly. They need to be germinated in warm water first so that they can germinate faster.

Persimmon sprouts in the soil

Persimmon seeds can germinate after 7 to 10 days of germination. Place the seedlings in holes in the soil, cover with soil, and compact it slightly. Keep the spacing at about 35 cm, cover with a layer of sand, then water the roots and cover with straw. After planting, apply a thin liquid fertilizer and place in a light place.

Persimmon seed germination method

If you want persimmons to germinate faster, you need to choose good quality, plump seeds, soak them in warm water at 30-40 degrees for about 2-3 days, and stir them constantly every day. The water needs to be changed once a day. After the seeds absorb water, they are planted in soil rich in humus, covered with a layer of plastic film to keep the soil moist. They will germinate in about 7 to 10 days.

Persimmon germination planting method

Persimmon seeds are suitable for planting in spring from February to May and in autumn from August to October. At this time, the seeds will germinate quickly. First, soak the selected seeds in warm water for about 2 to 3 days, change the water once a day, and then plant them in loose and fertile soil. Cover with a layer of plastic film to keep it moist. They will germinate in about 7 to 10 days.
