1. How to grow a ginseng banyan bonsai

Soil: The ginseng banyan bonsai is relatively strong in nature, and because it does not have very high requirements for the substrate, ordinary flower soil can generally be used. If conditions are better, choose loose, fertile, well-drained, acidic sandy loam rich in organic matter. If alkaline soil is used, the leaves of the plant will easily turn yellow and the plant will grow poorly.

Light: It prefers light, but can also tolerate partial shade. It is best to maintain it in an environment with sufficient diffuse light, and be careful to block out strong light.

Fertilization: You can apply a small amount of compound slow-release fertilizer once every season, mainly composed of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium elements. Fertilizer can be applied three or four times a year, but not excessively, otherwise it will easily cause the branches and leaves to grow too long, destroying the overall shape and affecting the appreciation value.

Watering: Water the ginseng banyan bonsai when the soil is dry and keep the soil slightly moist at all times. However, be careful to avoid water accumulation, and control the amount of water and the frequency of watering.

Repotting: You can repot it every two years, preferably in early April. First, dig up the soil around the flowerpot, then gently take out the plant, remove most of the old soil, and cut off some of the aging roots. Change to a larger flowerpot, fill it with fresh, fertile soil, and replant the plant.
