Sowing method of Cassia tora

Sowing method of Cassia tora

Selecting a location and processing

First of all, we should choose a relatively flat location with better sunlight. After choosing, we have to do some processing on the soil, such as exposing it to the sun for a long time and deep plowing. In addition, some fertilizers should be mixed in, such as some fertilizers sold on the market or animal manure, but animal manure is relatively better.

Seed collection and processing

When the pods turn yellow, cut them off, collect the seeds, and remove the impurities inside. Select those seeds that are full and healthy for further processing. Prepare warm water of about 45 degrees Celsius, soak the seeds in it, and soak for about a whole day. Take it out and let it dry. If they are not easy to absorb water during processing, you can use sandpaper to rub their surface and then soak them. This way, they will expand better after absorbing water.

Official sowing

First of all, we need to determine the appropriate time for sowing. Generally speaking, we choose to do it in late spring or early summer, using the method of "row sowing". The distance between each row is about thirty-five centimeters, and the distance between seeds is about twenty centimeters. Then, spread them out as evenly as possible. After spreading, cover with about three centimeters of soil and water it sufficiently. After that, continue to keep the soil moist and wait for the seeds to germinate.

Post-management

When the seedlings grow to about five centimeters, thin them out and remove the weak ones. When it grows to about 40 centimeters, it is necessary to add soil. In addition, weeding should be carried out in a timely manner, water should be drained in time during the rainy season, and watering should be done if there is drought.
