1. Site selection

3. Planting method

Dig planting trenches according to the predetermined row spacing, add mixed fertilizer and phosphate fertilizer, and then plant. After survival, the axillary buds should be removed in time, leaving only the terminal buds of the main vine, and tied to the support to help the plant climb to the trellis.

4. Scaffolding

5. Planting time

It can be planted all year round, but February to March is the most suitable time. The economic cultivation period of passion fruit is generally 4 to 5 years, after which the plants need to be renewed.

6. Orchard management

Fertilization: Newly planted passion fruit should be mainly fertilized with nitrogen fertilizer in the early stage, while farmyard manure, phosphorus fertilizer, potassium fertilizer, etc. should be applied in the later stage.

Irrigation: Passion fruit requires a humid environment, but is afraid of waterlogging and drought. Pay attention to drainage in the rainy season and irrigate in time in the dry season.

Pruning: Passion fruit should not be heavily pruned. Appropriate pruning and thinning should be carried out after each batch of fruit is harvested to maintain ventilation and light.
