How to reproduce Pongamia chinensis

Sowing method

Choice of substrate

This tree prefers an environment with relatively high temperatures, but it also prefers humid places, so these two points must be coordinated. They don't have high requirements for the soil, but we all know that plants prefer to grow in fertile soil, so the soil used for cultivation should be more fertile.

Steps

It is best to choose sowing in the current year, so that the probability of survival will be higher. You should also choose plump and round seeds, and avoid using incomplete or deformed seeds. This is not difficult to understand. The better the foundation, the higher the success rate of planting. Before sowing, disinfection must be carried out first. If there is no suitable agent at home, you can choose to use water at about 60℃ and soak for about 15 minutes. Then soak it in warm water for half a day to a day, place it in the substrate and cover it with soil, then wait patiently. After it grows about 3 leaves or when it is a little bigger, it can be transplanted.

Cutting method

Preparation before operation

At the end of each spring, you can choose branches from the current year or last year. First, you need to prepare the following planting materials. You can choose river sand, nutrient soil, etc. However, if it is sea sand or the surrounding salinization is serious, do not choose this substrate.

Specific steps

Cut the cuttings to 5-15cm long with 3 or more leaf buds on them. In order to make it take root quickly, in addition to applying rooting powder, you should also keep the temperature between 20-30℃ as much as possible and ensure the humidity. After planting, if it is a sunny day, be sure to provide shade, so that the plants can grow safely.
