How to reproduce lily rhododendron

Cutting propagation

time

This method is more suitable for flower lovers who plant a small amount of rhododendrons. This method is relatively simple to operate and the survival rate is relatively fast, so it is more suitable for friends who plant them at home. Generally, you can choose to do it in May and June. During this period, the plants grow better and the temperature is more suitable, so during this period, their chances of survival are relatively high.

step

Choose relatively sturdy branches to ensure their survival. The length of the branch can be about 5-8cm, then cut off the leaves in the lower half, leaving 2 or 3 leaves on the top. Before inserting into the substrate, apply rooting powder that is conducive to rooting, and then insert it into a substrate with better air permeability. The temperature should be controlled at 20-25℃, and then block part of the sunlight and wait for rooting.

Softwood propagation

This method is also relatively convenient, and the time can be chosen between May and June. Since the temperature is relatively suitable, there is no need to deliberately cool down or keep warm, and the plants can basically survive at the natural temperature. During this period, the plant's growth is relatively good and it has not entered dormancy. Its ability to absorb nutrients is better, so it is more likely to survive.

The scion only needs to be cut to 3-4cm, and the lowest part should be cut into a wedge shape. Then it should be grafted onto the rootstock made of Maojuan, placed in the shade shed, and tied with plastic film. Note that the plastic and the rootstock should be put together to help retain moisture.

OK, now we know how to reproduce them, let's give it a try.
