How to plant Emei rose

Choosing a site and soil

The choice of location for planting is very important and directly related to the future growth of the plant. We usually choose places with slightly flat terrain, which is conducive to irrigation. As for soil, sandy soil is better.

Seed selection

Choose those mother plants that grow well, that is, those that bear large fruits, are free of diseases and pests, and have uniform fruit shapes, so that the quality of the seeds will be good. By mid to late September, we can start collecting seeds.

Seed treatment

Of course, the seeds cannot be planted immediately after being collected; they still need to undergo certain processing. Around the end of October, we should choose a place sheltered from the wind to process the seeds. The specific method is to mix the sterilized river sand and seeds, put them into special bags, and then bury them in the pit we dug before.

Official sowing

First, deep plow the soil twenty to twenty-five centimeters and pick out grass roots and the like. The official sowing time is probably in early or mid-May. However, we should take out the seeds in processing at the end of April. Generally, we adopt the row sowing method with a row spacing of about 20 cm and a depth of 0.5 to 1 cm. Simply spread the seeds and fine sand at the chosen location. After spreading, cover it with about 0.5 cm thick soil.

Post-management

The first thing is to handle it within one week after sowing, and make sure to water the soil sufficiently. In addition, some soil loosening and weeding are required, which can be done together with watering.
