The hydroponic method of golden diamond is very simple and can be done at home.

Remove from the basin

First, take the soil-grown diamond plant out of the flowerpot, remove the soil and rotten roots, and rinse it clean. During this process, be careful not to damage the roots of the golden diamond, so as not to affect its normal growth.

disinfect

Soak the roots of the golden diamond in prepared potassium permanganate and disinfect it for thirty minutes, then clean the stones and planting baskets.

Colonization

Place the roots of the golden diamond in a planting basket, then add stones to fix it, and finally place it in a hydroponic container filled with culture solution. The roots of the golden diamond should be submerged 1/2-2/3 in the solution, leaving a part in contact with the air. This way, the hydroponic golden diamond is ready.

Maintenance methods

Change water frequently

In the early stage of hydroponics, you should pay more attention to changing the water. At the beginning, the roots are still black in the soil and the water will easily turn black. Later, water roots will slowly grow and the water will gradually become clear. At this time, you can change the water every one or two months, and just replenish it after the water volume decreases.

Water temperature requirements

You can choose purified water or tap water to cultivate golden diamonds, but you need to pay attention that when the weather is cold, the water temperature is lower than the room temperature. The tap water should be left for a period of time before use to keep the root temperature stable. Or when changing the water, use the half-and-half water change method, pour out half of the water in the original bottle, add half of new water, and control the water temperature to be constant.

Water volume control in container

There should not be too much water in the container. 2/3 of the bottom roots should be in water, leaving a certain amount of roots in the air. When using hydroponics in planting baskets, it is best if the planting baskets are not close to water.

Fertilization

After hydroponics, you can apply some liquid fertilizer or add nutrient particles to the water to allow them to slowly melt and release nutrients, which is both beautiful and can ensure the nutrients needed by the plants.

Hydroponic environment requirements

Golden diamond likes warm and humid environment, is afraid of severe cold and avoids strong light. The hydroponic golden diamond should be placed in a well-ventilated semi-shaded environment or a bright place without direct sunlight to prevent the leaves of the golden diamond from turning yellow.

The growth temperature of golden diamond should not be too low. The suitable temperature for growth is 20℃ ~ 30℃. The environmental humidity required for the life of golden diamond should be guaranteed. When the weather is dry, you can spray water on the leaves or on the ground to increase the environmental humidity.
