How to propagate Emei rose

How to propagate Emei rose

Cutting propagation

Introduction: This is a very common asexual reproduction method for this plant. The method is relatively simple and easy to implement, and can achieve rapid reproduction in a short period of time.

Specific steps: There are not many restrictions on time selection, as long as it is not summer, other seasons are fine. The principle of branch selection is also easy to understand, that is, the branches should be those grown in the current year, free of diseases and pests, and eight to fifteen centimeters in length. As for the medium, if conditions permit, you can choose perlite and other materials. If conditions do not permit, ordinary garden soil will also do. Then insert the selected branches into the prepared substrate, burying one or two nodes in the soil.

Post-management: It is not particularly troublesome. The only thing you need to pay attention to is to provide it with appropriate shade measures.

Layering propagation

Time selection: In the warmer areas in the south, it is possible all year round. If it is in the more northern areas, it is generally chosen to be done in spring.

Selection of branches: It is best to choose older branches that are of good quality and free from diseases and insect pests.

Substrate selection: There are not too many requirements for this, ordinary soil will do, the most important thing is to mix it with water to keep it moist.

Specific steps: Press the selected branches into the moist soil, and fix the bent parts with hooks or other tools. After that, create moist rooting conditions for it, and then just wait for the roots to grow. After they have taken root, separate them from the original plants and transplant them separately, so that they become new plants.

Other ways

Seeding propagation is also the most commonly used method. In addition, division is also an optional method.
