The propagation method of white flower silver back vine

The propagation method of white flower silver back vine

1. Seed propagation

This method is often used in production. In the spring of each year, take some fuller seeds and soak them in 40-degree warm water for 1 to 2 days. During this period, they should be stirred frequently. After the time is up, take them out and dry the water. Then you can sow them in the prepared land. The general depth is about 3 cm, and the distance between each plant is 35 to 40 cm. When sowing, put 4 to 6 seeds in each hole. After sowing, you can start to level the holes and water them appropriately. Basically, the seedlings can grow smoothly in about 10 days.

2. Cutting propagation

When we pick its roots in the autumn, we choose some stronger vines to leave behind, then cut off its head and tail, and cut it into 25 to 30 cm cuttings in the middle. Each cutting has 3 to 4 nodes on it, and then place them in a cool place, mix them with wet sand and dry them. Also, be sure to keep them ventilated to prevent them from rotting. Around March or April of the following year, start making holes in the ridges for cuttings. Before planting, you can dip the roots in some rooting agent to help them survive better. The depth of the holes can be 30 to 40 centimeters. Insert 3 to 4 roots in each hole, and leave a node outside. After planting, tamp it down and then water it.

3. Root propagation and layering propagation

In addition to the above two methods, there are also root head and layering propagation methods. These two methods are generally more suitable for immediate planting, but they are not commonly used in production. The most commonly used methods are the above two methods, and the survival rate is also very high. But both methods are possible, and each has its own advantages.
