How to water Forsythia

How to water Forsythia

1. When to water

First of all, when you just plant it, you must water it thoroughly. This is the rooting water. The second watering should be three to five days later. The third watering should be about 10 days later. Then the watering time can be gradually extended. Generally, it does not require special artificial watering, only natural rain and dew are needed, because its soil itself contains moisture. It only needs to be watered during hotter or dry times.

2. The amount of watering

Because Forsythia is particularly drought-resistant, it is very afraid of waterlogging. Generally, the seedlings do not need to be watered after they survive, but they must be watered during droughts. When watering, the amount should not be too much. Water a little at a time. Just keep the soil slightly moist. If you are not sure, you can touch it with your hand. As long as it can form a clumping or is not particularly dry, it is fine. Therefore, you must pay more attention to the amount of watering and water it in small amounts multiple times.

3. Notes

When raising it, you must control the amount of water, especially when there are more rainy days, it will be easier for water to accumulate in the pot. At this time, you must pay attention to timely drainage, otherwise its roots will rot. Also, in the spring when it is growing well, you must pay attention to watering it, especially after the flowers fall. You should pay more attention to keeping the soil moist and not let it be too dry. Otherwise, it will not be able to differentiate the flower buds normally, which will affect its flowering next year. Also, when watering, you must have a method. You must water slowly each time and not water too hard, otherwise the surface of the soil will become uneven. Also, you must water evenly. You can water slowly around the flower pot. In this way, the soil in the pot can be evenly watered. This way it will grow better.
