How to breed Huang Qiuying

Seed propagation

They have good adaptability and can be planted at different times of the year, so that they can bloom in spring, summer and autumn. Also, the seeds of this flower are relatively large, so it is easier to plant. Before sowing, soak the seeds in potassium permanganate for two hours. After sterilization, you can sow normally. You can dig small holes for sowing, or you can sow directly on the seedbed.

Cutting propagation

Cutting selection

If the seedlings grow strong that year, their axillary buds or apical buds can be used directly. If you think the seedlings are not suitable, you can also choose last year's plants, but you must cut off the old branches and ensure that the main stem is 2-3cm above the ground. After they sprout, you can take them down for cuttings.

Cuttings processing

The cuttings should retain three or four nodes, and should be cut between nodes as much as possible. After removing the leaves below, only one or two leaves need to be retained on the top. The roots need to be treated with a specific rooting agent so that their roots can grow faster. The cut end of the cuttings should be dipped in a little mud, and when the mud dries, they can be inserted into the seedling pond.

Shading

There is one point that needs to be emphasized here. After planting, a shade net should be used on the seedling pool to block the light so that the seedlings will not feel uncomfortable due to sudden exposure to sunlight. When grafting, you can use a thin bamboo stick to punch holes and graft at the same time. The insertion depth can be selected according to the length of a node. It is best to use two fingers to compact the soil when planting cuttings.

Watering

You can spray water on the leaves once or twice a year. It will take root after half a month and can be transplanted after another 20 days.
