How to propagate the succulent rain heart

How to propagate the succulent rain heart

1. Planting seeds

Among many succulents, except for a few species that are pollinated through flowers, others require human intervention. Because its lifespan is relatively short, if its seeds are kept at room temperature for a year, the chance of germination will be very small, so we must pick the seeds after they are mature and sow them immediately, so that they can germinate faster. When sowing, we must choose softer soil with better air permeability, and then water it appropriately and give it more light, so that it can germinate quickly.

2. Cuttings

Leaf cuttings: We can take some of its thick leaves and insert them into relatively moist and loose soil, so that roots can grow quickly.

Stem cuttings: We can also combine pruning and shaping when propagating it. We can cut off its branches as cuttings, and then clean its surface and dry it slightly before cutting. This will have a better effect and a higher survival rate.

Root cuttings: We can cut off its thicker, more developed and more mature roots, and then bury it in the sand bed, leaving its upper part slightly exposed. Keep it moist and get enough light, so that many new shoots can quickly grow from its roots and slowly form some small plants.

3. Grafting

Generally, we can also make it reproduce through grafting, which is also very good, but when grafting we must operate faster and more skillfully, so that we can reproduce it more successfully. Otherwise it will be difficult to survive.
