How to breed succulent white birds

Soil requirements

Generally, the most common soil mixing method of peat soil and perlite in a ratio of one to one is adopted. For young plants and white birds that have just been divided, softer peat soil should be used to make it easier for the new plants to take root. For adult plants over 2 years old, the ratio of sand and particles in the soil mixing method should be slightly increased. The ratio of peat soil, sand and particles is one to one to one.

Requirements for watering

White Bird is a drought-resistant and low-temperature-resistant succulent plant of the Cactaceae family. It does not require a lot of water. It is easy to rot if there is too much water. The soil in the pot should be kept dry at ordinary times. Each time, you must wait until the soil is completely dry before watering it again. Don't just water the soil on top. Water until the water flows out from the bottom of the pot. When winter comes and the temperature is below 2 degrees Celsius, the white bird will automatically enter a dormant period. You cannot water it at this time. Too much water will cause the roots of the white bird to rot and frostbite. When the summer heat arrives, high humidity can also cause rot.

Requirements for lighting

White Bird likes sunlight but cannot be exposed to direct sunlight. Once exposed to the sun for a long time, the whole plant will become soft and grow slowly. It is best to place it in a bright location, but not in direct sunlight. The temperature is high in summer, so it is necessary to provide shade and ventilation, and keep the plants moderately moist to avoid a hot and humid growing environment. It is best to place it indoors in winter to avoid frostbite. The winter sun is warm but not scorching, so it can be placed in the sun all day and watered in small amounts when the temperature is above 2 degrees Celsius.

Requirements for reproduction

The growth period of white bird is very short, and it is difficult to cultivate it directly. When cultivating it by itself, you must control the amount of watering, keep it slightly dry, and provide sufficient sunlight. Currently, the main ways of propagating white bird are sowing, division or grafting. The most common way is to graft the white bird onto the octagonal linen, but be sure to avoid watering from the top.
