How to grow daffodils in water? How often should you change the water?

1. Bulb processing

Narcissus grown in water need to be processed first, the dry outer parts must be cleaned, and the residual roots and rotten roots must be cut off. The treated wound must be disinfected and placed in a cool place to dry before planting.

2. Water treatment

The most important thing about water culture is of course the water quality. If you use unclean water, the bulbs will easily rot and it will be difficult for them to survive. It is best to use clean purified water for maintenance. If you use tap water, it is recommended to leave it for two days to wait for the chlorine in it to evaporate before using it.

3. Water Change Frequency

If the plant grown in water has not yet taken root, you need to change the water more frequently. It is best to change the water every one or two days, and pay attention to the amount of water. It should not be too much, otherwise it will affect the breathing of the bulbs and easily cause root rot. After the roots have taken shape, you don't need to change the water too often, about once a week will be enough. In addition, it is best to add a few drops of nutrient solution when changing the water to promote more vigorous growth.

4. Environmental requirements

Daffodils cannot grow without light, and those grown in water need the sun even more. Therefore, it is usually recommended to place it in a well-lit place indoors and let it get more sunlight. It will grow faster with sufficient light. Also, open the windows frequently to provide more ventilation. The breeding environment cannot be too closed, and air circulation is required. In addition, pay attention to the temperature, it is best to maintain it at around 20 degrees.
