How to water morning glory

How to water morning glory

Does it require a lot of water?

This plant is native to the tropical zone with high temperatures and high rainfall near the equator. Therefore, we can know that its demand for water is still relatively large. It cannot tolerate an overly dry environment, which places high demands on our watering.

Different treatments for watering at different times

Late spring or early summer is a good time to sow seeds. After planting, the demand for water is relatively large, so the soil must be kept moist. In fact, it goes without saying that we all know that at this time of growth and development, water is naturally indispensable.

However, in late autumn and even winter, the growth of plants almost stagnates, and they may even enter a dormant stage. Of course, the demand for water is relatively low. You can skip watering, or water it once every half a month. If the soil is too dry and cracked, you can add some more water to make the soil slightly moist.

The best time of day to water

We all know that it is not suitable to water when the sun is high in the sky at noon or around 2 o'clock. The best time to water is in the early morning when the sun just appears, or in the evening when the sun is about to set.

A few more things to remind you

Although this plant likes moisture and is not drought-tolerant, it is also afraid of waterlogging and therefore cannot be waterlogged. Even in the summer when evaporation is at its peak, you should not water so much that the roots of the soil are soaked in water.

In the hot summer season, in order to replenish sufficient water, in addition to increasing the amount of watering appropriately, you can also replenish water by humidifying the air or spraying the leaves. Even in winter, you can sprinkle some water on the leaves to make them look cleaner.

During the rainy season, if the plants are placed outdoors, drainage must be done in time.
