How to grow Longjiao Peony

Morphological characteristics

The plant of the longhorn peony is relatively small, with a maximum height of no more than 10 cm. Each fleshy stem is shaped like a protruding triangle and is dark green in color. There are many fine hairs near the roots of the dragon horn peony, which make it difficult to find where it grows from. The dragon horn peony can bloom very bright flowers. Each flower is about the size of the palm of your hand, and the color is bright pink and very beautiful.

Farming methods

The longhorn peony is a relatively drought-resistant plant and can usually be placed in a semi-lit environment. At the same time, keep the surrounding environment well ventilated. When it rains a lot in summer, you need to pay attention to the excretion of water and keep the soil at a certain degree of dryness. In winter, reduce rainfall and stop watering if necessary. The suitable seasons for planting dragon horn peony are spring and autumn, especially when the temperature difference is large, the dragon horn peony will grow very quickly, so it is suitable for cultivation in areas with large temperature difference between day and night.

The difference between it and the triangular peony

Sometimes, we confuse the dragon horn peony with the triangle peony and cannot tell them apart. In fact, the dragon horn peony is a variant of the triangle peony. The difference between the two is that a more obvious protrusion can be seen on the back of the triangular peony, like a dragon bone. The back of the dragon horn peony is more semicircular and has no obvious protrusions. The flowers of the triangular peony are mostly white, while the flowers of the dragon horn peony are generally pink.
