What to do if succulents get sunburned in summer?

What happens when succulents are sunburned:

First degree sunburn: Mild sunburn, there will be sunburn scars on the tip of the leaves and also in the center of the leaves, all of which are particularly tender parts of succulents.

Second degree sunburn: moderate sunburn, half of the leaf or even the entire leaf is sunburned. This situation usually occurs when there are water droplets on the surface of the succulent leaves and the leaves are exposed to the sun.

Level 3 sunburn: Severe sunburn, the leaves are completely shriveled, blackened, and rotten. This symptom may also appear on the stems of some succulents.

What causes succulents to get sunburned?

It is possible that the succulents are placed in the sun when they are not in good condition; or there are water stains on the surface of the succulents, so they are left in the sun; the most direct reason is: the weather is really hot, coupled with exposure to the sun, the consequences are disastrous. Succulents are afraid of heat, and not all succulents are as sun- and heat-resistant as cacti.

How to deal with sunburn in summer:

Pay attention to proper shade and ventilation. Ventilation is very important for succulents. Remember not to sunbathe casually. If the leaves are completely shriveled, blackened, or rotten, just pick them off. If there is black rot on the stem, remove it directly. When watering succulents, pay attention to whether there are any residual water droplets or water accumulation on the surface of the succulents. If so, do not expose them to the sun for too long.
