How to care for Tiger Pilan during its dormancy period

How to care for Tiger Pilan during its dormancy period

Growing conditions of Tiger Pilan

Tiger Piranha is suitable for growing in warm and bright places, especially in an environment of about 25 degrees, where it can grow rapidly. When the temperature is below 10 degrees, its growth will stagnate. In winter, the temperature of Sansevieria is often around 10 degrees, and it is easy for the soil to be too moist, which can cause the roots of the plant to rot and eventually kill the Sansevieria. The quality of the soil is not very important for Sansevieria. As long as the soil has sufficient nutrients and good water permeability and air permeability, the soil can be properly fertilized to increase the nutrients needed for its growth. For the snake plant planted at home, you can move it into the sun for short periods of time during weather with good sunlight, which will enable it to grow more vigorously.

Maintenance of Tiger Pilan during its dormancy period

When placing the Sansevieria, the light should not be too dim, otherwise the leaves will easily lose their luster. In the hot summer, Sansevieria should not be exposed to direct sunlight and should be properly shaded. If the light is too strong, the leaves will easily change color, so Tiger Piranha is suitable for planting and maintenance in places with scattered light. In winter, Sansevieria enters a dormant period. At this time, you should reduce the amount of water used and the number of waterings to keep the soil dry. If the soil is too moist, the roots will slowly rot and die. During the rapid growth period of Sansevieria, appropriate fertilizer should be applied, but during the dormant period, the use of fertilizer should be stopped. After the dormancy period ends, targeted potting can be carried out.
