How to fertilize chrysanthemums

When repotting chrysanthemums, add an appropriate amount of fertilizer to the soil, which can make the chrysanthemums grow healthier, but it should be noted that the size of the pot should be determined according to the plant, and should not be too large or too small. The flowerpot can be replaced with a larger one little by little as the plant grows.

Chrysanthemums are good at fertilizing, but if they are not fertilized properly, they will grow too tall. Therefore, when applying base fertilizer to chrysanthemums, potassium and phosphorus fertilizers can be used as the main fertilizers. The time for fertilizing should not be too early. It can be chosen from the beginning of autumn to before the plants bloom. During this period, you must ensure that the chrysanthemums have sufficient fertilizer and water. When applying fertilizer, you can gradually increase the concentration of the fertilizer.

During the seedling stage of chrysanthemum, the amount of fertilizer required is relatively small, and you can apply fertilizer once or twice a week with freshwater fertilizer; during its growth period, the seedlings will slowly grow and the amount of fertilizer required will also increase. At this time, you can increase the frequency of fertilization, and apply fertilizer every 5 to 7 days; from July to August, when the temperature is high, you should reduce the amount of fertilizer to allow the growing chrysanthemums to safely spend the summer; from September to October, the temperature gradually drops, and this is also the period when plants grow most vigorously. While increasing the frequency of fertilization, you can also increase its concentration.

Precautions

Excessive or insufficient fertilization can harm plants, so it is important to adhere to the principle of moderation.
