What fertilizer to use for grapes

What fertilizer to use for grapes

The root system of grapes is relatively developed, which is very conducive to the rapid absorption of fertilizers. After fertilization, nutrients can be stored in the tree, which can greatly improve the frost resistance and stress resistance of grapes.

Fertilizer for grapes

1. In the early stage of grape production, nitrogen fertilizer is the main fertilizer. After entering the fruiting period, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers are increased accordingly. In addition to organic fertilizers, about 80-150kg of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium are required per hectare per crop.

2. The amount of fertilizer should be adjusted appropriately according to the grape variety, yield, tree vigor and soil fertility. The base fertilizer should be applied after winter, and the topdressing should be applied before shade buds, before flowering and during the fruit expansion period.

3. The weather starts to get hot during the grape ripening period. Please note that you cannot fertilize the grapes during this period. Fertilizing under high temperatures may inhibit the growth of grapes and greatly reduce the survival rate of grapes. In addition, the amount of fertilizer applied at one time cannot exceed 600 grams, otherwise the grapes may wither and die.

Grape fertilization method

The method of fertilizing grapes is relatively simple. You can use the two-in-one fertilization method, which is mainly done by digging trenches. The trench depth is 20-30 cm and the distance from the tree trunk is 60-70 cm. The technical point of the two-in-one fertilization method is to use organic fertilizer as the main fertilizer and other fertilizers as supplementary fertilizers, combining organic and inorganic fertilizers to avoid a single ingredient that affects the growth of grapes.
