How to water Begonia

Watering time

Watering is not like watering at a fixed time like three meals a day. Instead, you need to judge the soil first. If the soil in the pot is very dry, the leaves are soft, and then the leaves of the whole plant are drooping, then you can consider watering thoroughly.

Watering Tips

Begonia is a plant that requires relatively more water. I wonder if you all water the plants when you want to and not water them when you don’t remember? This does not form a good watering pattern.

It is best to water Begonia in the morning or evening. The frequency of watering is not several times a day or once every few days, but depends on the moisture level of the potting soil.

Beautiful flowers need to be cared for by careful owners, so watering should be divided into winter and summer. Because the temperature is high and evaporation is fast in summer, the water demand is relatively large, so watering is best done in the morning or evening. In winter, try to water the plants at noon on sunny days. At the same time, make sure the water temperature is close to the indoor temperature. The water temperature should not be too cold, otherwise it will stimulate the roots and cause necrosis.

Precautions

Avoid overwatering. If you water too much, the water will fill the gaps in the soil, causing severe hypoxia in the soil and causing the roots to die from lack of oxygen. Too wet soil in the pot can easily provide opportunities for fungal and bacterial diseases to invade, so owners must not be too eager to water the flowers and water them too much.
