How to grow more fruits in Buddha's hand

Buddha's hand needs pruning to promote branching

When cultivating Buddha's hand, in order to ensure its high yield, it is necessary to adjust the tree shape and flowering and fruiting branches, so it is necessary to prune it in time, so that it can have more branches and produce more fruits.
The Buddha's hand plant needs to be pinched when it is growing. Generally, the lower 15cm-20cm of the main trunk is retained, and 3-5 axillary buds are retained to allow new branches to sprout. Pinch the tops when the new branches grow to about 10cm. This will expand the crown, form a certain tree shape, and enter the fruiting period ahead of schedule.

Buddha's hand needs to be pruned during its flowering and fruiting periods. During the flowering period, it is mainly to remove the flower buds, and during the fruiting period, it is mainly to remove poorly growing branches and weak, diseased and dead branches after the fruits are harvested, so as to reduce nutrient consumption and achieve good results next year.

Flowering period maintenance of Buddha's hand

If you want Buddha's hand to bear more fruits, first of all, maintenance during the flowering period is essential, because only when it blooms well will it have a chance to bear more fruits.

During the flowering period of Buddha's hand, the main maintenance work is picking flowers and applying fertilizers.

First of all, when picking flowers, you should pick off the extra flowers and early male flowers of the Buddha's hand, leaving only 1-2 flowers on each branch. Buddha's hand usually starts to bloom in March every year, and the flowers should be picked during the flowering period. Because it is generally better to keep 1-2 fruits on a branch, so when keeping the flowers, only keep 2-3 flowers and pick the rest.

Fertilization mainly involves spraying phosphorus and potassium fertilizers on the leaves. Borax should be sprayed during the flowering period. This can promote photosynthesis of the leaves, accumulate nutrients, and increase yield.
