Why are the leaves of osmanthus drooping?

Why are the leaves of osmanthus drooping?

1. Improper watering

Reason: The drooping of osmanthus leaves may be due to improper water application. It needs water during its growth process. If it lacks water for a long time, the roots cannot absorb water from the potting soil, causing the leaves to droop. At the same time, it cannot tolerate waterlogging. If it is watered too much, it will cause root rot, the transport function will be blocked, and the leaves will droop.

Solution: If you notice a lack of water, you need to water it appropriately. If you water too much, you need to promote water drainage and remove any rotten roots.

2. Fertilizer is too concentrated

Reason: Osmanthus needs a certain amount of fertilizer to grow. If too much fertilizer is applied, or uncomposted raw fertilizer is applied, it will also cause the leaves to droop.

Solution: Pay attention to the problem of fertilization. If the fertilizer is too concentrated, water should be used to dilute the excess fertilizer.

3. Temperature is too high

Reason: If the temperature is too high, osmanthus will find it difficult to adapt, causing the leaves to droop and turn yellow.

Solution: Try to maintain the temperature between 18-30 degrees. If the temperature is too high, move it to a cool place.

4. Not adapting to the environment

Reason: If the osmanthus has just been bought or has just been moved, it may not adapt to the new environment and its leaves may droop.

Solution: No excessive operation is required, just leave it in its original position for maintenance and wait for it to adapt.
