Rainbow Jade Cutting Propagation

Stem cuttings

When pruning the rainbow jade, some branches will be cut off. You can use them to cut it into 5 cm long stem segments, or take other branches, leave a few pairs of leaves at the lower end of the plant, and only cut a section of the branch above, and then put it in a cool place for 3-5 days to allow the wound to dry slightly before cutting. You can plant it in moist soil, but avoid water accumulation, and then wait for it to take root. During this period, the leaves at the lower end may shrink and wither because the roots need nutrients. In addition, you can also wait for the cuttings to grow aerial roots in the air before inserting them into the soil.

Leaf cuttings

Take some intact leaves from the stems, remember to leave them for 3 days before leaf cuttings, and then place them directly on the soil like other succulents, just keep a certain degree of moderation. In addition, it is best to add some bamboo charcoal to the soil we choose, which will help reduce pathogens and ensure the success of leaf cuttings. After leaf cuttings, it won't take long for small pieces of flesh to grow, as well as red, whisker-like aerial roots. At this time, you can bury the roots in the soil and wait for it to grow slowly. This method is suitable for mass reproduction, but it takes a long time to take shape.

Rainbow Jade Seed Propagation

The best time for sowing is from February to May, then choose mature seeds and sow them in pots. Remember to do it indoors and control the room temperature at 18~21℃. They will germinate after half a month.

Rainbow Jade is one of the varieties that is particularly easy to propagate, and it grows very fast. You can choose the appropriate propagation method according to your needs.
