Four seasons maintenance method of fairy finger

Four seasons maintenance method of fairy finger

Spring maintenance of fairy finger

Spring is the flowering period of the fairy finger. At this time, the fairy finger consumes a lot of nutrients during flowering, so it needs maintenance and management. First, reduce watering and stop fertilizing, and expose it to more sunlight. In mid-April, the cactus fingers should be placed outdoors. When caring for them, there is no need to water them too much, just keep the soil in the pot slightly moist. By the end of spring, the plants will have returned to normal and can then be watered and fertilized normally.

During this period, if the water and fertilizer are appropriate, the stems can continue to grow longer.

Summer management of fairy finger

In summer, the maintenance of the fairy finger is very important. The most important one is watering. Watering should be based on weather changes. On weekdays, watering should meet the needs of the fairy finger, but in rainy weather, watering should be stopped. The fairy finger should not be exposed to rain. If it is accidentally exposed to rain, it may cause the branches to fall off, so pay attention to shelter from rain in summer.

During the hot summer days, fertilization needs to be stopped. If the plants are growing healthily, a small amount of phosphorus and potassium fertilizers can be applied. It should be noted that although the cactus finger likes light, it will be in a semi-dormant state in summer and needs to be shaded, but it should not be placed in a too secluded place indoors for a long time to avoid the plant growing too tall.

Autumn maintenance of fairy finger

Autumn is the season when the flower buds of the cactus begin to differentiate. At this time, it is necessary to water it in time and apply more phosphorus and potassium fertilizers. In autumn, the cactus needs to be brought indoors, but the time of bringing it in should be later. After bringing it in, the cactus plant should be placed in a place where it can be exposed to light, and the pot should be turned frequently to ensure balanced sunlight.

At this time, in order to promote the good differentiation of flower buds of the fairy finger, the newly grown flat stems and deformed stems need to be removed in late September, and buds will appear around November.
