Key points for the maintenance of cyclamen in four seasons

Spring care for cyclamen

In spring, the light and temperature are more suitable for the growth of cyclamen.

Generally in April in spring, the flowering period enters its final stage, and you can repot at this time. When repotting, you can also change the potting soil. The soil can be made by mixing leaf mold and garden soil, but it needs to be disinfected, and it is best to add some base fertilizer.

You don't need to apply fertilizer too frequently. You can apply compound fertilizer once in early May. When watering, you need to keep the soil moist, preferably with clean water.

Summer care of cyclamen

In summer, due to the high temperature, cyclamen plants may have entered a semi-dormant state. At this time, it is necessary to maintain ventilation and frequently sprinkle water on the plants and the ground to lower the temperature.

In summer, the light is strong and shade is needed in time. When the temperature is high and evaporation is high, you can water it once a week. Because the growth becomes slow, it is best not to fertilize.

Autumn care of cyclamen

Autumn and spring are quite similar, with mild light and suitable temperature, so autumn is also very suitable for the growth of cyclamen. Autumn is also a suitable season for repotting cyclamen.

In addition, as autumn deepens, slowly entering, generally in October, cyclamen needs half a catty of indoor maintenance, keeping the indoor temperature at around 15℃, and watering when the soil is dry and wet. In summer, it is also necessary to pick off the old and yellow leaves of cyclamen.

Winter care of cyclamen

As winter approaches, cyclamen begins to bloom. Legend has it that the temperature needs to be kept between 15℃ and 18℃, and at least not lower than 10℃. When growing, be careful not to place the flower pot near the heater. Don't water too frequently, and pay attention to the water temperature. It's best to keep it close to room temperature. Be careful not to water the bulbs.

In addition, because cyclamen consumes nutrients when it blooms, it needs to replenish nutrients in a timely manner to ensure the balance of elements. In order to bloom well, more phosphorus and potassium fertilizers should be applied.
