Seed propagation

First of all, you need to select high-quality seeds with full grains, normal shape, and no diseases or insect pests. It is best to choose seeds harvested that year, because the storage time of seeds is inversely proportional to the germination rate. The next step is seed disinfection. Ordinary families can first soak the seeds in hot water at about 60℃ for about 15 minutes, and then use warm water to germinate them, which takes about half a day to a day. Similarly, it is necessary to disinfect the substrate used for sowing. It is best to fry it in a pan to kill pests and diseases. Now you can place the seeds into the substrate.

Generally, the order is based on a spacing of 3×5 cm. Cover with a matrix about 2-3 times the thickness of the seed. After sowing, remember to use spray to water and control the intensity.

Transplantation cultivation method

Select young saplings with new growth shoots at the base of the plant and dark green or light green leaves. Remove the seedlings with some soil on the roots. After taking the seedlings, wrap the roots with soil in a plastic bag and tie the mouth to prevent moisture from being lost too quickly. For each clump of young trees, keep 3-5 trunks, cut each trunk at 30-50cm, remove most of the leaves, and only leave 5-10 leaves. The land is prepared by hole cultivation, and the general planting density is 2500 plants/hm2. If it is found that the excavated soil contains too much sand and gravel when digging the hole, the bottom of the hole should still be backfilled with the original excavated soil, but the upper part of the hole needs to be filled with about 30kg of foreign soil. Planting can be done when the surface soil is moist.

Cutting propagation method

Softwood cuttings are generally chosen to be carried out when the plants are growing vigorously from late spring to early autumn. It is better to choose cuttings from the current year's strong branches. Cut off the branches and then cut the best growing parts, about 5-15 cm long, and make sure each section has more than 3 leaf nodes. The cut should be flat. Generally, the upper cut should be made about 1 cm above the top leaf node, while the lower cut should be made at an angle about 0.5 cm below the bottom leaf node. 4

Hard branch cuttings are generally chosen in early spring when the temperature gradually rises, and the operation method is basically similar to soft branch cuttings. Select strong branches as cuttings, and generally retain 3 to 4 nodes for each cutting.
