How to grow Margarite flowers in summer

How to grow Margarite flowers in summer

Soil selection

This is determined at the time of planting, but before germination in spring each year, proper soil replacement can not only ensure bright spring flowering, but also prepare for the summer.

I would like to remind everyone that when changing the soil in spring, add some base fertilizer to promote root growth and enhance the resistance of the plant. Prepare for summer in spring.

Watering

Margaret can bloom in summer, but the flowering effect is not good, the color is dull, and it will consume too many nutrients. The best way is to cut off the flower stems to prevent it from blooming.

In hot weather, spray water more often and sprinkle water on the ground frequently. This will increase the indoor humidity and also have a cooling effect. In summer, it is generally watered once every 2 to 3 days. However, the environment is different, and the frequency of watering should be determined according to the dryness and wetness of the potting soil!

Fertilization

Because of the high temperature, marigold grows slowly in summer, so should we apply fertilizer in summer? Will fertilizing cause seedling burn? Fortunately, there is a more conservative method:

In May, apply phosphorus and potassium fertilizers once to replenish nutrients for Margarite in advance. After entering summer, spray foliar fertilizer once a month. The lighter the concentration, the better. It can not only provide nutrients for the plants, but also has a good cooling effect.

illumination

Margaret likes light, so full-sun care is perfect in other seasons, but not in summer. If the light is too strong, the leaves will wilt in 1 to 2 hours, so appropriate shade is needed.

After exposure to the sun, the temperature of the potting soil rises sharply. The high temperature and humidity can easily induce damping-off disease. Especially if exposed to the sun after rain, Margaret will die immediately.
