How to take cuttings of Margaret flowers

Water rooting method

Water plugging root induction

Water cuttings for rooting can be done all year round as long as the environment is suitable, but the best season is autumn. Margarite grows fast and can take root in 2 to 3 days, greatly shortening your waiting time.

First, you need to choose branches with a length of about 10 cm, keep the leaves on the top, remove the leaves on the bottom, find a clean bottle of water, insert the branches into it, and leave the rest to time. It will take about 1 to 2 weeks to take root!

Planting in pots

If small white roots grow after 1 to 2 weeks, you are halfway to success. When the roots grow to 2 to 3 centimeters, you can plant them in pots!

First, prepare a flowerpot, fill it with soil, water it thoroughly, then use chopsticks or other tools to poke a small hole, stretch the roots of the branches and plant them in, then place them in a cool place for 1 to 2 weeks to slow down the growth, and then maintain them normally.

Soil insertion method

Branch selection

The branches are generally chosen to be tender green new buds. The new branches that are toppled or pruned can be used for cuttings.

The medium for cuttings is generally pure vermiculite or vermiculite mixed with fine sand.

Cutting method

Cut the selected branches directly into the flowerpot, and try to insert the branches at the edge of the pot to increase the survival rate. After cuttings, water them thoroughly, place them in a cool place, keep the temperature at around 20°C, and they will take root in about 20 days. After the roots have taken root, you can repot it!

Pay attention during the cutting process. If you use pure vermiculite, you must water it after cutting, because the vermiculite will be tightly combined after absorbing water, making it impossible to put the tender shoots in.
