Tips on sunshine for growing flowers at home

There are long-day flowers and short-day flowers. Those that bloom in winter and spring are basically short-day flowers, while those that bloom in summer and autumn are basically long-day flowers. Long-day flowers can only bloom when the daylight hours reach a certain level, while short-day flowers will bloom as long as the daylight hours are short enough. Therefore, if people want to make long-day flowers bloom earlier, they use lights to extend the daylight time; if people want to make short-day flowers bloom earlier, they just need to cover them in the morning and evening to shorten the daylight time.

Long day: the sunshine time is more than 12 hours; short day: the sunshine time is 8-12 hours. Therefore, when growing flowers at home, you must provide light according to the flowering time of the plants!

Tips on watering flowers at home

The most difficult part of growing flowers at home is watering. Too much watering will cause the roots to rot, while too little watering will cause the leaves to turn yellow. How can you water them just right? Understand the plants' needs for water and ensure that the soil and water levels are appropriate so that the plants can grow strong.

Better to be wet than dry: ornamental ferns, monstera, calla lily, gladiolus, calla lily, etc.

It can be used when the soil is dry and when the soil is wet: such as roses, pomegranates, jasmine, gardenias, hydrangeas, evergreens, Milan, Clivia, spider plants, bamboo palms, ornamental bamboos, pineapples and most perennial plants.

Water thoroughly when the soil is dry: plants such as camellia, azalea, fuchsia, cyclamen, flamingo, phalaenopsis, white orchid, rubber tree (large-leaf green), as well as pine, cypress, and taxodiaceae.

Better dry than wet: such as cactus, mountain shadow box, tiger tail orchid, sedum, aloe, Kalanchoe, Haworthia, crystal palm, Buddha's hand palm, stone lotus and succulents, etc.
